Companion planting makes farms sustainable
Companion planting is a technique that utilizes different crops to maximize space, provide homes for beneficial insects, and enriches the soil to encourage vigorous plant growth. Here we used one of the oldest combinations of planting corn, pole beans, and squash. The corn provides the trellis for the pole beans while the legume enriches the soil with nitrogen to be used by both corn and squash. Squash is planted to take care of the weeds as the large leaves rob them of sunlight. Our pole beans are thick, sweet, and crunchy. They're naturally grown - always freshly harvested and available to anyone who's interested!
